Loft Apartment….Downtown Carrollton
We have a loft for rent…this is the upstairs of the original location of our business in downtown Carrollton. We renovated this loft back in 2002 and lived there until 2007. It’s an amazing space that can be residential or commercial. We’ve previously had families in here, but we’ve thought that a group of college students would have a great time in here being so close to the nightlife downtown. A few details about the space… the building was originally built in 1885 as Moore’s Opera House, with the Opera House being the upstairs of the building. We’re thinking it was Can-Can dancers and vaudeville, but i’ve yet to see any documentation of what was performed here. The heart pine floors are original and the ceilings are 14 foot high. The windows are all 9 foot high and make a statement for this space. It was featured on HGTV’s ReZoned back in 2007, with a focus on having a mix of commercial and residential living. You’ve got Camacho’s brick oven pizza downstairs, next door and you’re walking distance to every restaurant and bar downtown.
This loft has three bedrooms and three full baths with two of the bedrooms being large enough to hold two people each. There’s abundant parking in the back of the building or at the parking deck across the street. The wonderful thing about this space though is the great room, which is 24 foot x 42 foot and holds the kitchen, dining and living areas. You’ll love the walk in closests too.
And…we have a sister space right next door to this one with the exact same amount of square footage (2400), but it’s completely open. It would make a great addition for a private club for one of the fraternities or sororities at UWG. It has the same look with one bathroom and a whole lot of space. Combine these two together and start thinking “Real World-Carrollton”. It would truly be an unbelievable college experience.
If you’re interested in the space, just contact Kash Johnson at kash@classicalphoto.com and we’ll provide additional details.

Here’s the open space…the kitchen may look small…but trust me it’s not. The room is just huge.
Another view with the spiral duct and high ceilings.
This bedroom is in the back of the loft.
This one is in the front and faces the new downtown parking deck.
Here’s the master bath that connects to the back bedroom.
